How do I join Mid American Credit Union?
You can apply for membership online or in a branch.
 

Who is eligible to join Mid American Credit Union?

If you live, work or worship in one of the Kansas counties we serve, you are eligible to join (see map). Kansas counties include: Jackson, Jefferson, Johnson, Kingman, Labette, Leavenworth, Linn, Lyon, McPherson, Miami, Montgomery, Morris, Neosho, Osage, Pawnee, Pottawatomie, Reno, Riley, Saline, Sedgwick, Shawnee, Stafford, Sumner, Wabaunsee, Wilson, Woodson, or Wyandotte.

Family members of a Mid American Credit Union member are eligible to join (spouse, parent, stepparent, grandparent, child, step-child, foster child, sibling, grandchild or former spouse).

If you work for a company or organization with a permanent office in the state of Kansas, you are eligible to join. Retirees from such companies and organizations are also eligible to join.

Members of Consumer United Program are eligible to join and employees of a company that is a member of Consumer United Program are eligible.

What identification do I need to apply for a personal (consumer) account?
 You will need:

  • A Social Security Number or Individual Tax Identification Number, and
  • One valid, non-expired form of ID: state driver’s license, state-issued ID, military ID, permanent resident alien card, or Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Tribe ID.

 

What do I need for proof of address?
A copy of a current utility bill, mortgage statement, lease or rental agreement, or insurance card. Documents must be dated within the past 60 days.

What is my account number / How do I find my account number?
 Your account number can be found:

  • On the bottom right corner of your check, or
  • In the MACU mobile app under account information.

How do I get a copy of my statement?
Members may access previous statements at no cost through Online Banking under eStatements.

How do I enroll in Mobile Banking?

  1. Download the Mid American Credit Union app from the App Store.
  2. Select “First time here? Enroll now.
  3. Enter the primary member’s SSN (no dashes), account number (without leading zeros or Share ID), and the email and phone number on file.
  4. Click “Get started.”
  5. Choose how you’d like to receive your two-factor authentication code.
  6. Enter the verification code.
  7. Create your passcode.

How do I make an online payment?
Online payments can be made in the Mid American Credit Union app or login through the website.

Does a transfer to my loan count as a payment?
Yes. Transfers made from your share account to a loan do count as a loan payment.

 How can I move funds from one account to another?
You may transfer funds within Online Banking by selecting Transfer.

 Are there specific wire transfer instructions?
Yes. Wire transfer instructions are available here.

Who do I contact if I think there has been fraud on my account?
Call our Contact Center at 316-722-3921, ext. 202 or visit one of our branches.

Who do I contact if my debit or credit card is lost or stolen?
Call us 24/7 at 316-722-3921 ext. 202.

How do I change my card PIN?
You may change your PIN in online banking under Manage Cards by selecting Set PIN.

How do I turn my cards on or off for security?
You can easily turn your card on or off in online banking. Simply go to Manage Cards and toggle the “Card is ON” switch to the desired setting. 

How do I change my address?
You may update your address through Online Banking by selecting your profile, choosing Settings, selecting your name at the top of the page, and clicking Edit under the address field.

 How can I add someone to my account?
New members may apply online or visit one of our branches to be added to an account.

 How can I add a beneficiary to my account?
This can be done over the phone or visit one of our branches.

What is Mid American Credit Union’s routing number?
When you are signing up with a third party to deduct payments automatically from your checking account, you will need your Routing Number AND your Mid American Checking Account number. Both of these numbers are on the bottom of your checks.

Mid American’s routing number is 301180124.

 Where can I use my ATM card without a surcharge fee?

What are the Contact Center hours?
